The Beatmen's bassist, Marian Bednar died on 17th February this year. I learnt these sad news a few days ago. I think he was a great musician, he was the one who arranged their songs. In addition to the bass guitar he could also play the trombone and the piano (I think he plays that piano solo on this song, "Keby som bol Nór"). The Beatmen were very popular in Czechoslovakia around 1965 even though they released only two singles. Their lead guitarist, Dezo Ursiny later formed The Soulmen, The New Soulmen and then he started a solo career.
